FAIR Data Points (FDPs) lead to the data that is available in FAIR format. A FAIR format is a federated format in which the data is distributed in different repositories. The FAIR Data Point facilitates that the data semantically enriched and machine actionable, is Findable, Accessible (under well-defined conditions), Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR). The repositories are held under Ownership of the data handler, in Locale of the handler’s residency and under Regulatory Compliance in the place of the repository.
The FDPs link in hierarchy and structure to other FDPs.
An FDP contains a number of data catalogues for each set of data identified in the FDP.
